I have hundreds of stories from camp... and honestly for the next few weeks that is all I will probably be sharing on here. Thankfully many of those stories are quite humorous. Many of those stories include a bit of the level of insanity that seemed to grow among the staff or one of many types of vermin such as bugs, snakes, mice or children. Other stories might include ways we have grown closer or insane little adventures we partook in. I have far to much to tell that I need to write it down somewhere.
I am surprised we were all able to function without our cellphones for so long. It seems like all I did before camp evolved around my cell phone or my computer. Now I kind of just want to read and chat with people. I spend over six weeks with my co-workers and we learned so much about each others lives. We talked about dreams and goals, our past and emotions. It is hard to describe how close we became. I miss them all so dearly right now. I wish we could just talk and share our lives again with one another again. It is difficult not to just run down the hall to one of their rooms when I am in need of a chat or a hug. It is difficult to miss friends so much. I have rarely felt this much pain in leaving people. People leave all the time... but this hurts. I went through fire with them. I was challenged and broken and they experienced it all with me. We built each other up and got to know each other. We changed each other. We became new people over the summer. It was marvelous. But now they are gone. They have vacated my life and it hurts.
My goal is to tell the stories and some how grow from the loss of their constant friendship. Maybe blogging it out will assist.
